A great start for a new business.
PrinceWood Recruitment is based in Surrey and is a recent startup created by Natalie Prince and Jeanette Erwood. Created by two experienced professionals, they always wanted to create and run their own recruitment business.
The business recruits in multiple sectors including Administration, Customer Service, PA / Secretarial, Human Resources, Financial Services, Accounting, Marketing and Design.
The Brief
Any start-up has a limited budget and very little content to publish on their website. We agreed that it would be sensible to start with a one page website that could be really focused and provide a platform for future growth. However, within a short period of time their business was developing fast and so they contacted me to begin the process of adding some new pages to the website and a targetted SEO campaign.
However, they were still not at the stage to want to add the functionality needed for job seekers to apply on-line though the website. That would have to come later.
The Solution
The first step was to conduct the SEO analysis, which involved identifying key search terms and benchmarking their competition against these key search terms. Once this was complete, we began the process of redesigning the original one page website, writing content and adding new pages, including a landing page for one of the key search terms.
In order that PrinceWood could edit the new jobs page, I used the WordPress custom fields capability to create a simple user interface for updating the Jobs page without touching the actual website itself.
