A new redesign created a 20% increase in visitor numbers
Tom Aikens is one of the UK’s most acclaimed and inspirational British chefs. In October 2018 I was approached by the marketing department to take over the website and introduce a new look and functionality to better promote events.
The new website produced results immediately leading to more greater numbers of bookings and helping the Marketing department achieve all of their annual targets.
Tom’s kitchen needed someobody to quickly take on the challenge to redesign their website, introduce GDPR compliant practices, MailChimp integration, table booking API and new pages to better promote special promotions and their Christmas campaign. There was no time for a full scale redesign, but a radical makeover was needed.
Using WordPress and Divi from Elegant Themes I rebuilt the website and added new modern design layouts and styling. Of course the images I had to work with were amazing, so that was very inspiring.
I designed and built a new grid based Promotions Page with an attractive Landing Page for the Christmas campaign.
Subsequent additions have included a page for on-line Deli Ordering from Tom’s Kitchen Canary Wharf and Birmingham.
